Atheros Drivers are included in the 10.4.5 update. They are in the IO80211Family.kext. I installed that and IONetworkingFamily.kext and my netgear card is now functional.

1. Jun 27, 2016  I patched the PCI id checks and 0x2c0 -> 0x280 in the OS X driver and now have an en0 with the wifi logo showing. However, it doesn't scan networks:/ Any ideas? With the same AR9565 MAC Core, AR9565 MAC Postamble, AR9462 Baseband Core and AR9462 Baseband Postamble, Linux scans and connects to networks just fine.

This isn't the first time CNET has allowed downloads to bundle all sorts of CRAP malware in their downloads. It has happened 3 times for me in the past several months. Even when I click on the 'cancel' part when downloading, it downloaded it anyway. I got the Conduit Search spyware that I had so spend an hour getting rid of. CNET - why are you allowing this???

Cons

Windows Vista should be included in the compatible Operating System list. I didn't notice that Windows Vista was missing from the list until after I installed the drivers. Fortunately, they worked fine.
