Matrox Mxo Driver For Mac

  1. The Matrox MXO2 LE MAX is an advanced breakout box that connects to a PC or Mac desktop or laptop, and provides real-time conversion of most existing video and audio formats.
  2. Right now I'm running FCS2 with a Matrox MXO and 10.5.8, and it's all working great. I've been waiting to upgrade to FCS3 and Snow Leopard but have held off until I can get a working combination of OS, FCS and Matrox MXO drivers.

The Matrox MXO driver, on the other hand, takes the native YUV video from the QuickTime application and sends it directly out over the DVI connection with time-stamping information that allows the MXO box to reconstruct the frame sequence at the broadcast standard frame rate.

Before anything I must say that the Matrox MXO, when it works, it quite glorious! The instability I have had so far is what is driving me crazy. The ability to calibrate the Apple Cinema 23' is great, and the image quality is stunning. That being said, I must pose the following issues.
Machine Specs:
Mac Pro Dual 2.66ghz
OS X Leopard 10.5.2
QuickTime 7.6.1
nVidia Geforce 7300
13gb RAM
Final Cut Studio 2 (Latest Rev on all components)
Maxtrox MXO with 2.1.1 Drivers
I have setup and calibrated my Matrox MXO with an Apple Cinema Display for viewing. I am currently working on a project that is DVCProHD 720p24 shot on Varicam. I am suffering from NUMEROUS crashes while editing. Final Cut freezes for about 5 seconds then closes with the infamous error that 'Final Cut Pro has quit unexpectedly'. The Apple Cinema display remains black and is unresponsive without a restart or logging out and back in. This happens on average about every 15 minutes, which proves to be VERY unproductive! It seems to happen more often, though it may just be coincidence, whenever I click from one open timeline to another. It has happened during other operations, but more often when swapping timeline to timeline. Any ideas on what may cause this? Better yet, any ideas on what may fix this?
One other thing that happens is that when I swap to another programs, and back to FCP, the video playing to the ACD from the MXO plays fine, but the video playing in the canvas stutters over the same 3 or 4 frames.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Casio ctk 720 drivers. But at least you fixed it this time. So until you can figure out how to turn it on, there is no signal getting to Garageband. A lot of people don't know how to properly use GG so its hard to tell who you are responding to. Anyway, for your keyboard, the General Midi mode is defaulted to 'Off.' So do you have a 'setting' button?
